Preheat oven to 200C.
Cut one pastry sheet at a time, in strips (2 cm wide)
Wrap the pastry strips around each slice of pear.
Place on a non-stick tray and bake until golden.
Sprinkle icing sugar on top. Serve hot or cold.
Optional: substitute pears for fresh apples.
