Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
3 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup desiccated coconut
1 cup sultanas or cranberries
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup orange juice freshly squeezed
3/4 cup rice syrup
1/4 cup coconut oil cold pressed, melted
Spices mix
1 tsp Caro coffee
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/4 tsp ginger ground
1/4 tsp cardamom ground
1/4 tsp cinnamon

A healthy granola infused with spices: ginger, cardamon, cinnamon and coffee – but a coffee that even children can consume. Caro “coffee” is a instant cereal beverage made from cereals (Barley, Malted Barley, Rye)(80%) and Chicory. Other substitutes for Caro are: Ecco, Bambu and Orzo. Most of them are sold at Coles, Woolwoorths or Mediterranean deli’s.

Best orange juice is freshly squeezed at home and used straight away. For a different flavour, orange juice can be replaced by Apricot Nectar.

Enjoy with hot frothy milk!

Slightly heat oil, orange juice, rice syrup and spice mix until runny consistency obtained.

Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Bake in oven on 300°C for 40-50 minutes, mixing frequently to roast evenly.
